  • I was talking to a friend earlier and checked the Vita's Estival Versus manual and did a quick search I couldn't find anything on status effects and was wondering if we should make a page for it. I was also wondering back when I was unlocking abilities in Estival Versus if Hyper Armor has any effect on reducing the time or negating status effects at all.

Sidenote; Me and a friend have been looking into Burst Re:Newal's mechanics some.

    • Yes, I think we should. Through, if there is nothing about statut effects, it means that we have to perform tests to know them.

    • Thank you again friend; Well I know of freeze, paralyze (electricity also freezes you in your current animation), stun (dizzy stars circle you), burn and poison.

    • Hm. I know of them too.

      I call the effects :

      - Stun (Electricity)

      - Dazing (Like stun, but without electricity)

      - Burn (Flame)

      - Poison (Good old poison effect)

      - Frost (Ice, block you, and can be absurd visually)

That's all the effects I could experiment. They still exist in SKBR:N, but depend on the character and/or enemies.

In SKEV, it is easier to test them as I can use bombs for that. Bombshells are a way to apply any of those effects.

    • Yep! I just got a clip; In Estival Versus poison deals 1 HP every second for about 16 seconds.

    • Alright! Took me an hour or two but I got it;

Poison: Deals 1 damage every second for about 15 seconds.

Paralyze: Immobilizes the player for 4 seconds

Stun: Stuns the player for 4 seconds stars circle the character's head

Burn: Burns the player deals 2 damage every second for 16 seconds

Freeze: Traps the player in ice for 4 seconds also you get stuck in whatever animation you were in. If you were in an attacking state you will still do damage if enemies/bosses come within range.

I have clips too if you want me to send them to the Discord.

    • No, upload the clips on the wiki already. With all the date gathered, I can mount the base for the page.

    • Also, there is "positive" statut effects too. I remember in SKEV having fell on things that give me +Defense or +Attack. Do they count?

    • Also, Characters tend to deal statut effects. For example, I remember of being poisoned by Hikage (Do she attack me with rusty blades?).

Well I would consider them items I would put them on a separate page or list under status effects items along with bombshells. The attack and defense up would go with wherever the description I saw for the sewing kit is I guess.

Yes Miyabi can inflict burn while Shiki and Hikage can inflict poison Kafuru can inflict freeze and Hibari can paralyze. I noticed bosses' attacks tend to stun or paralyze you more frequently than grunts unless we're talking about the Sheep for example which tend to paralyze you once you get them halfway dead and they start teleporting they tend to paralyze you about every 5 to 7 hits Crows can apparently poison and it seems most enemies have the chance to paralyze you. Turtles' firework guns also annoyingly have the chance to stun you leaving you open for more fireworks. I've even been stunned by a firework right after I got out of the first stun from a firework.

    • Hikage's blade isn't rusty I assume it's poison tipped (or her former mentor Hinata taught her to use poison, though from Hikage's description of her being honorable I doubt it) both her Secret Ninja Arts are poison based similar to Shiki's mist they have the chance to poison you I mean Hikage is snake like after all. Basically it wasn't Hikage's knife but she took it as a memento to her fallen teacher.

    • Yes, I know about Hikage's knife. Okay right.
