- This game's story belongs to a timeline of its own. It accounts only for Burst in Timeline 1, and for Shinovi Versus in TImeline 2.
- The stories Deep Crimson, Estival Versus and Peach Beach Splash are irrelevant to New Link, barring characters and some references.
- Translated sections of the story also reveal retcons to SV's story such as Hibari's background among others.
- This game also had a crossover with the Gantz franchise in the form of a limited time event and costumes.
- The Mikagura Sisters use Kagura's faction symbol in this game.
- Same the anime adaptation, but the story is Semi-canonical.
