There are two different types of Renka's Skill Cards:
Range: Pillars will be created in an area.
Direct: Pillars will travel forward in a trail.

Gameplay Tips[]
Renka's Skill Cards are useful for paralyzing opponents like Hibari's Skill Cards, but are a bit tricky to land sometimes.
Renka's Skill Cards focus on damaging opponents that are in front of the user, not above or below.
Renka's skill cards with range is useful for crowd control, while the direct is good for stopping opponents in track.
Be wary when using Renka's skill cards; the user can still be damaged and be easily interrupted by opponents.
The best way to use any type of Renka's skill cards is to melee the opponent to knock them down, and then activate the skill card in front of them to easily land the pillars.
Other Skill Cards are also a good way to keep the opponent in place, such as Yumi's Skill Cards or Murasaki's Skill Cards.
Renka's Skill Cards can pass through walls and other terrain, so use them to catch opponents off guard with these.
Renka's Skill Cards cannot Zap or damage opponents that are in any barriers, which makes them ineffective against Ryōki and Naraku's Skill Cards. Use them only on opponents that are exposed to damage.
Increasing the level will uppen the damage of the skill card by 1, so it's best to level it up to max level as soon as possible for full effect.
Range and Direct Skill Cards share the same cost, except for the DLC.
