  • I got Purple Heart's approval on the new edit on Naraku's page after discussing the matter with them. Just making sure we're on the same page.

    • I went on my own and read over some information regarding Naraku on nicovideo JP site and I fully understand what it is that you were trying to get across. I can admit to that fault, I just figured adding too much wouldn't be necessary as long as a link to the source was provided.

I'm not here to argue with anyone over nit picky things and I'm not trying to attack anyone. So if it seems that way to you then put your mind at ease. I am sorry. That being said please try not to be so crass and do the same thing as you may have thought I was doing to you; as I only gave you a hard time because

      1) you were very rude to me before about an edit concerning Daidouji; which honestly wasn't called for in the slightest.

      2) you haven't contributed much aside from trivia so I can't  firmly give you credit for working as hard as you say. At least not here.

But as I said, I'm only here to manage what is put up and if it requires me to edit it or remove it all together. And if I can't seem to understand then by all means just explain your case in full.

    • Well, I don't appreciate trivia content being treated as "inferior" and superfluous, It's a vital part of an article, and working tirelessly on providing it is what earned me administrator status in another wiki. Wikia is a vehicle for information, first and foremost: assumptions like "nobody wants to know" or "nobody cares" are fundamental failures on the contributor's part.

        Loading editor
    • While I understand your feelings towards this, you cannot put trivia over the actual story content, character information, and overall lore of a series.

Trivia may contribute to certain things regarding observational analysis of a character that pleases one half of a fanbases (like comparing looks and likeness to other people), whereas some provide insight on major/minor changes made through cross media (like a voice actor was changed from anime to game: Or a character no longer sports a specific detail in the games that was a pertinent part of their character in (x) novel/manga due to editor choice) and that satisfies the other half. (And its fine to note subtle differences like this)

But surprisingly trivia itself can easily be taken out of context as the definition itself is so ambiguous that most information regarding something is purely made on observation anyways. That's why we try to limit what is put in miscellaneous sections like that in order to keep unnecessary content from cluttering the page.

Trivia gives more personal satisfaction of knowing small facts about something an individual is passionate about. But it's nowhere as important as the content of the page itself. Story, lore, and information regarding a character established in a canonical series should always be put put first. Put forth the effort towards that and condense arbitrary thoughts. As you said, this is a data base. Not a "fun facts about X,Y,Z."

I'm not saying I know everything. I'm not saying everything I do is right. I'm not putting anyone down nor am I trying to put your work in vain. I'm just saying you should prioritize other things that'd benefit and help expand this wiki.

      That's all I'm saying.

  • I did explain that I didn't remove the trivia, just combined it with the other, so why is that still no good?

EDIT: Adding a link is good, but "Naraku" doesn't translate as "hell". Japanese uses a different word for the Christian hell, and that's not it: you need that specification.

    • Er, yes, because it's about the name's translation? It's just a bit more complex than a straight translation.

        Loading editor
    • No, you're, again, oversaturating information about a name and trying to predate it's origins to something that is completely unrelated to the character it pretains to. The name is usually always associated with hell or the underworld so there's nothing else to look passed.

      It doesn't matter. Just stop

  • Hey. I wish to apologize for the edit. I understand that it was just speculation, however Kurohoro has a scorpion motif especially with the scorpion tail and the blades in her sleeves resembling pinchers as well as containing poison, characteristics of a scorpion. Not to mention her zodiac sign is Scorpio. Also, If speculation should not be in trivia, then what was the purpose for putting the same speculation for Ginrei, Syuri and Aimu's trivia?

  • (I'm writing here since it did/would not fit in the "summary" section within edits)

What you're doing about the Homura's page is all great and nice (writing profile, stories etc...), I couldn't say otherwise, but think a bit before changing stuffs just because "it wasn't you who made the changes". I don't care who makes the changes as long as it's (or at least looks) right. Your insistance to revert the "its" to "it's", for instance, was really making me wondering if you were knowing what you were doing or simply just "undo" because someone else touch your precious character. On the other hand, with the Katana[s] point, you gave me an explaination that was right and I didn't touch it, so you see I can understand things. All I'm doing recently for some reasons, is just checking the recent edits (all of them, not just yours, so don't worry, I'm not having a hate for you or anything) and correct stuffs if I see some. For instance, in the 'Musical Themes' section of Homura's page, I corrected the "Takaki states" with "stated" since Takaki said it 'in the past' (as I understand it (since I don't have the book itself), he said it when the Shinobi Syllabus book was being written, or around it, which happened some years ago, so in the past, thus "stated". Unless he says it constantly here and there as soon as he open the mouth). As for the links, as you're right that no matter the order, the links will always link to the concerned pages, if I follow your logic, it's all good if I put "Personality" before "Appearance", or "Anime & Books" before "Games" in their corresponding sub-section for some random characters and not for the other part since the infos will be on the pages, no matter what... (Don't worry, I know I exaggerate [volunteerly], to show how stupid that sounds). I reordered that "Gallery" section for some characters (Homura included then) since most of the others were in that one order, and I rewritten a lot of them to avoid the redundance of some (i.e "For official images of "character", please visit: "character" " to "For official images: "character" since someoneone who will be on one character's page, would necessarly want to see the "official images" of that one character if there's a direct link, so no need for the redundance) and the "writing style" for some other (Homura included there) to be better to the eye (and the logic) (i.e "For Official Images" to "For official images"), since I don't think you (or anyone not trolling / kidding or whatever) usually write such as: "Every Day She Was Training And Under A Lot Of Pressure From Her Parents."

To end this wall of text, again, I have nothing personal against you, you seem nice and all, and I couldn't be more happy to know when I do something wrong (with explainations of why it is, it's always better to know why rather than a simply wall of "you're wrong, let me do it the way I prefer") like (again XD) that katana change which I thought was getting a "s" for the plural, to which you nicely told me it doesn't get one for plural (actually, I've read afterward both with s and without are valid somehow) and that was all good for me. Anyway, I hope that wall didn't put you in a bad (or worse if you were already) mood.

      Loading editor
    • No, nothing is taken personal. I'm glad you came to me about this instead of just egging this whole editing process on. Regards to the past tense and spelling errors: I personally apologize for that since I'm not great with grammar. Also, some of that information was already placed there and I simply came in, added more content and left what was there alone (since I didn't do it.)

No, I'm not trolling. I have a profound appreciation for Homura and I will see to it that she gets the best care needed as far as I see fit. That being said, while I'm not opposed to edits on her page done by someone else, I'd just like to be consulted with first (since the bulk of that work is mine.)

Regarding the placement of the links: I haven't had an issue brought up from the admins themselves about it. They've stayed that way for as long as I've been here on the WIKI. I'd leave it to them to decide what to do with them. Though there isn't much point in changing them since they all serve their purpose either way.

Anyways, I'm happy to see another contributor here trying to make the best of what's here on this WIKI.

    • I won't add/delete stuff you make (like a whole paragraph of story, event, etc...), as long as it fits it (remembering Leon once put a picture in Yagyū's gallery which only had Hibari & Mirai on it, surely an oversight). Only thing I'd be mostly doing on Homura would be checking the words (grammar, past tense etc..) and not rewording, which shouldn't need to bother you being warned about everytime I spot one, I think.

For the placement, I admit I'm a kind of order/format maniac (well, not so much of a maniac, but I can't find the exact word in english), I'm not sure how I can explain clearly... I find it better (for anything, not just wikis) if stuffs are put the same way between each other. Like if you're going to describe multiple peoples and go in that order: 'Head > Arms > Chest > Legs > Feet' for the first person, it'd better to keep track in the same order for the next peoples, wouldn't be? I can guess that random example couldn't make much sense (lol), but it's the one thought that got to my mind at that instant XD.

  • Thanks for letting me know about the separate anime page. Could you please make some anime pages for Rin, Daidōji, Kiriya, Murasame, Hanzō, and Dōgen. P.S. Muramasa has a differant seiyū (Japanese Voice Actor) in the anime.

      Loading editor
    • Ah yes, those pages were meant to be made in time. I will get on those as soon as I can. (If you could do me a favor and link the anime pages on to the main pages for me, that would be great.) See Asuka for reference towards top.

Also, keep in mind what you do when editing the source code information. If you see anything that looks like ( </div>), do not move it, or combine it to another line. It will mess up the page setup.

  • When you get a chance, please add this specific track to the Musicial Themes sections for each member of Homura Crimson Squad under Deep Crimson:

    http://senrankagura.wikia.com/wiki/File:Senran_Kagura_2-_Deep_Crimson_-_18_To_Resist_the_P.ogg

Full name: To Resist the Path of Evil Shinobi

It's the track that plays on certain missions whenever you fight one of them.

  • Im telling you. You got it all wrong.

The move is her Ultimate/ level 3 in every game.

Her Aerial Ninpo in Deep Crimson is called BLOODY Dragon and is completely diferent.

DeadScrewDragon is Still her level 3.

That entire thing is completely unnnecesary and straight up incorrect.

It's technically not wasting space since all we would do would just move the sentences from the beginning and put them under different sections on the page, therefore consuming the same amount of space regardless -- actually more because you would have to put the same thing for versus twice and then explain about the critical health part in SV.

So "wasting space" isn't really a valid argument.

Now you are just getting convoluted. First, yes you are because you are , again, redundantly making a heading telling people that the ninpos have difences in every entry (which is a no brainer) but are cherry picking what goes into it. Not only does that take up space on the page by itself, just to tell people that there are diferences for no reason, but it isredundant to have such a heading when each section exists to detail the diferences in the first place.

By that same run of logic or yours, having sections at all is redundant, and it should all just be one paragraph talking about the ninpo as a whole in one incoherent mess.

You are needlessly complicating things for reasons I can only seem to deem are personal.

        Loading editor
    • No. You are making it needlessly complicated and now you're accusing me of having personal issues with you just because I don't agree with you on how things should be done. Like I said, it doesn't matter where it is, it's going to be the same things on the page (some duplicated).

So just so you'll stop whining, I'll move it. Now stop bothering people. I don't want to hear anything else about this. No snide comments or remarks. And to ensure that doesn't happen, I'm closing the thread.

  • Hello again, I know this is confusing, but you put a gif for Hikage's Ninpo 2 from SV in the Frenzy Mode Page when it should be in the Splatter page, as the ninpo itself is Splatter and it simply triggers her Frenzy Mode.

That said, the gif is just fine on the Frenzy Mode Page as well, so leave it. I would simply like if you were to add it to the Ninpo page too.

    Please and thank you.

    • I personally think the gif is fine on either page, but it should only be on one. Having it on both feels redundant and weird.

I say , put it on the Ninpo page to keep consistent with the other ninpo pages,

I'll think of something for the Frenzy Mode page.

  • Shouldn't the name of the Crimson page be changed to simply "Crimson"?

Unless there is something else named "Crimson" to conflict with, I don't see any reason to specify that it is a Ninpo.

    • The JP Senran WIKI states under (In ESTIVAL) Homura's ninja arts as "Crimson Lotus" for that. I don't personally think it's any different since they implemented the Ninpo from DEEP CRIMSON into ESTIVAL. (But they did just combine the name of Two separate Ninja Arts (Crimson) and (Lotus). Assuming they though it'd be redundant to have two Ninja arts that allowed her to enter her Crimson form.

So, we can just make a separate page for it all together since it's a different name/Ninja Art all together.

    • Luxaiz wrote:
I feel like this may be a good time to jump in and bring something up. After some thought, it's entirely possible that the Crimson used in Estival Versus is different from the Crimson used in other games. While the name will likely be localized as simply Crimson, what she shouts in Japanese is different. When using the art in Burst, SK2 and SV, she shouts 紅 (kurenai, Crimson). However, when using it in EV, she shouts 紅蓮 (Guren, Crimson Lotus). It's likely not that important at the moment, as the game hasn't been localized, so it likely doesn't need to be addressed at this time. However, I feel like it may become an issue in the future.

This is a very good point to make. Especially when you take Homura's Ultimate Ninpo from SV into consideration, as it is named Lotus, and she temporarily goes into Crimson Mode when she uses it, similar to when Hikage uses Splatter in Burst or when Hikage uses Pure Bliss in SV.

It is likely and advanced version of Crimson, similar to how Hibari's Butt Go Boom! from SV is an advanced version of My Abundant Butt from Burst, right down to the amount of Ninja energy increasing.

Like you said, It isn't something to take into consideration until the game gets localised, but it is still an interesting tidbit to share. Thanks.
