I'm here to inform you that I'm on several projects about this wiki, and one of them is a centralization of character-related images that are scattered around in several pages into single pages, if you get what I mean.
For now, it concerns only Ryōki's but I will take care of other characters. I just want to tell you that, along Flora, I would like that you both put the character-related images in the main galleries when they are ready. I can do it myself, but I would like to not do it for every image for some characters.
The interest of centralizing is to find every images related into a single place, and not dispersed everywhere. This is practical for ergonomic reasons.
Hello MCN51FJ, I have noticed that you don't post your images in their charaters galleries, because now I have to dig around the wiki to find and sort them. So for future reference can you please post the images in their gallery, thank you.
P.S: Can you please search through your images and place them in their gallery.

Hey Majiro! Are you asking about how to categorize images? If so, you can go to the file description (for example File:Meimei pumpkin bun.jpg) and click "Edit." Then you can add a category by typing [[Category:Name]], with "Name" being the name of the category you want to add the image to. Then you can publish your edit.
If this doesn't answer your question, please feel free to clarify what you meant!
Hi! So are you saying that only the middle part of the image is being shown in the scroll-box on the Asuka (cards) page, instead of the full image appearing? I believe that this is the normal behavior of the code, so that the images take up less space.
If you want to see an image in its full size, you can just click on it, so pages like Youzakura swimsuit full size are probably not needed. For an image of Youzakura, you can add the [[Category:Youzakura]] code on the image itself, not a wiki article.
Well, don't worry about making mistakes—it's a wiki, after all! If an image is of Yozakura, then it totally makes sense to put it on the "Yozakura (images)" page, and in the "Yozakura" category. But if you're worried, you may want to double-check with MCN51FJ directly! (My specialty is more with general wiki set-up rather than specific policies!)
Again, I apologize, but some of the pics you uploaded were blank. Whenever I try to see them, the wiki says its no longer there. I wouldn't have replaced your uploads if there wasn't an issue, the issue was the those five specific uploads weren't working.
No prob. I don't know, sometime the wiki acts up when people try to submit images. One day they're blank or unresponsive, then the next few days they suddenly work again. So, the day you uploaded the card images they were blank and mistook it for malfunction, so I decided to replace them.
I deeply apologize for the switch. What I was aiming for was good titles on images, so I suppose it was just my need for creativity that caused me to make the change. Now I certainly don't mind the uploads, just hoping a little creativity in file names, which really stupid I know. Anyway, again I apologize.
No problem, I thought it was some kind of evil or something, but I see no, I saw your conversation with Purple Heart and I saw that you are a good person, it's good that you have that creativity, I like it, but when something is already uploaded try not to change it, keep it that way, I will also try to put creative names because sometimes in the same game it says something related to the letter in parentheses, in short, I accept your apology and I have a good day ♥
Don't remove images I've already uploaded just so you can put them there again. I'm happy you're contributing. But it's quite agitating when I have to go through issues like this. I hope you understand.
Also... be very wary when editing anything related to Yumi. She's my main focus so I'm very critical about any changes done to any of her pages. I worked very hard making her the model for what the other pages should look like, so don't ruin my hard work or try to take even the smallest amount of credit for it.
But I know you're a nice person. And you probably didn't mean any harm by it. This is just a friendly reminder is all.
Very well, but why not focus on the others right now instead of Yumi's? I'm wondering if you're expecting others to edit the pages for you. I can't do any of that because I know I'll make too mistakes I can't fix. Anyway, I make mistakes all the time, so at least you're here to correct them and I don't plan to take any sort of credit for anything I didn't do. But seriously, try focusing on the others and give Yumi a break.
Managing one character is already a chore to do. Especially when that character has more content to add on a regular than most characters.
Yes. I am expecting other people to do other character's pages because I'm not obligated to do all the work because people are too lazy or too scared to do it themselves.
Not only that, but you can't expect me to make time for other characters outside of Yumi and the other members of Gessen when I feel like it, when I do literally everything else regarding terminology/lore, and all the in-game content, game pages, music pages, and even book pages that no one ever bothers to do.
So, no. I'm not gonna give Yumi a break. She's the only character who will get my full attention because I already literally everything else. I do more than literally anyone here ever has. So it's not unreasonable for me to want and to expect people to take time out of their lives to work on the other characters.
I stress over Yumi so much because she is the model for what all the character pages should look like. You can't act like you don't know what to do or don't know what it should look like when it's right there in front of you. If you need help, I'm more than willing to give it.
But as it stands now, no one truly cares how the pages look because if they did they would stop complaining about Yumi's pages looking the way they do and actually do some meaningful work to get things done instead of trying to slave the one person who works on the best looking character page on the wiki.
If you really want something done. Do it yourself.
Understandable, yet it still feels that you're being a bit selective on character pages. The fact that you chose Yumi to be the model already shows favoritism and even as the number contributor/editor of this site, you chose to stick with only one or five characters out of the rest, but I'm pretty sure that's just me thinking such a silly notion. Anyway, I would like to help edit the 80+ character pages you're not willing to do, however I actually don't know how to do it. So, yes, a few pointers or instructions wouldn't hurt.
Don't stress yourself trying to do everyone. Trying to do everyone is going to burn you out very-very fast. Just pick your favorite character and work on them. I'd be more than happy to help you with it. Like I said... just doing one is a chore. And since you're not even comfortable with doing edits like that, I'd really advise against doing more than you can handle at the same time.
Not even the people who are doing Homura, Yozakura, Katsuragi, and Murasaki have really finished any of their pages.... because there's just a lot to add. But compartively speaking they look a lot better than most of the other pages because at least people are trying to get them done -- albeit slowly because we don't always have time to be here.
Well, I suppose I can do Asuka's page as a start and move on to the rest soon after I get the editing down. I know the pages being worked on appear better and I can try to make the othe pages look similar if not the same given the proper directions.
If you're going to be uploading images and placing them on pages then at least put them in the appropriate sections and make sure there aren't any duplicates before you just start adding things. It'll become tiring very fast if I have to cleanup everything so you should familiarize yourself with how things are done.
Concept and Promotional Art: This means everything from wallpapers, character portraits, official art, and so on.
CG Artwork: This means anything related to the CG in the game itself
Other Media: This means official artwork completely unrelated to any of the games and are generalized. Illustration books, promotional images for events, and so on.
Well, considering that was unable to tell where everything is supposed. I just needed someone to fix my mistakes. And thankfully, you were there. So, I'll try to put them in the right locations next time.
While I'm glad to see you enthusiastic about editing, I'm going to have to tell you that your edits are rather redundant in nature and by extension tell you to stop.
There's no need to put what their names mean as Trivia or to even put the Kanji for these names when there's already a section in the newest infobox for it. Hence why all the characters who do have the new infobox no longer have said things on their pages.
True, however only a handful of infoboxes contoin kanji and meaning. So, I decided to add a bit of info and try to find them meaning behind all the other characters' names sinceclearly no one was able to do so. Well, anyway, I apologize for some of my pointless edits.
Well, that sucks. You would think Takaki would actually elaborate on the New Wave and G-Burst characters more instead of of giving a brief description on them. While I understand that Team Hanzo, Crimson Squad, Team Gessen and Team Hebijo are the main characters, it would be nice if he added the rest to the roster and write more about them.
