HAPPY TURN is Ryōki's Ultimate Secret Ninja Art in Senran Kagura: Estival Versus. It requires 5 Ninja Art scrolls to use and 3 in Burst Re:Newal.

Overview[]

Estival Versus[]

HAPPY TURN

This is Ryōki's very unique and own Awakened form as unlike others it changes both her personality and her move set. By touching the halo atop her head to make it bare a red color, her eyes begin to glow green as she disposes of her rifle and shield to summon a heavily weaponized coffin serving as her main weapon. She swings it around effortlessly with an augmented strength, speed and agility as well as uses the two main artillery weapons to tear through crowds in short time.

Activation[]

Ryōki stops and touches her own halo, which turns red, then throws her shield and shotgun away, before putting her hand above her. This spawns a half-ton weighted coffin, and makes her eyes glowing green. Any opponent close to her will take two hits inflicting heavy damage and countering any Secret or Super Secret art they are using.

Mechanics[]

The coffin is a heavy blunt weapon itself, filled with two heavy artillery weapons: a Gatling gun and 3 missiles launchers (2 smalls and one big, can shoot in total 81 missiles, 60 small ones, and 21 big ones). The light attacks where she swings around the coffin are slow but do heavy damage on targets, and combos tends to be powerful enough to knock down one or some enemy characters due to the fair area of effect.

In terms of heavy attacks, the mode has a simple heavy one, the Suppressive Fire, which consists of firing on foes with the Gatling gun. Ideal against groups, the shots hit multiple foes at a time and there is also the option of jumping and shooting while in air to make an aerial Suppressive Fire that damage several enemies.
The held heavy attack, the Missile Pummeling, consists of shooting all her 81 missiles on your target, dealing great damage and highly efficient on lone foes yet it has some area of effect.

This mode self-disables after a relatively short time but leaves generally enough time to get the advantage on a strong enemy or group. During the whole duration of the mode she is invincible but her attacks, counting as normal attacks, don't affect opponents using Ninja Arts.

Trivia[]

  • Estival Versus's Final Mission in the Story, End of Summer, has her use this mode during the whole fight as the final boss.
    • Curiously, she uses moves in this mission that differ from the ones she uses when played. Similarly, she can be damaged whereas she is invincible when played.
  • The Burst Re:Newal version has added an aerial rave animation to Ryōki in this mode while in Estival Versus she used the standard aerial rave even in this mode. Her combos were also slightly changed and became more effective in BR:N.
